Dating back to 1836, Park Church is one of the three oldest churches in the city of Grand Rapids. Park Church is proud that its modified gothic sanctuary is the second oldest surviving church structure in the city of Grand Rapids.

Join the Rev. Fetty as he examines various Advent-like texts from Colossians.  There will be two identical Study Series for your convenience.  One will be the Sundays of Advent, November 27, December 4, 11, 18, 2011 from 9:30 – 10:45 A.M.The second Study Series will be the Wednesdays of Advent, November 30, December 7, 14, 21, 2011 from 6:30 – 8:00 P.M.  A light supper will be available at the Church at 5:30 P.M. for $5.00. 

Rev. Fetty will examine and explore some of the unique themes and questions of Colossians which include:

-       What Is the Basic Greek Philosophical Concept Underlying Colossians?
-       The Anxieties of Life and the Answer of Colossians
-       The “Other Worldliness” of Colossians
The Reverend Maurice A. Fetty is a retired Interim Senior Minister of First (Park) Congregational Church, Grand Rapids, MI, where he served from 2001-2005. Before that he retired as the Senior Minister of The Congregational Church of Manhassett in Manhassett, New York, where he served 1988 to 2001. Reverend Fetty holds the Masters of Sacred Theology Degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, the Master of Arts Degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Master of Divinity Degree from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the Bachelor of Arts Degree from Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis, MN.
