A Great Big Synod Thank You!
Many thanks to all Park Church members and friends who volunteered at Park Church or DeVos Place during General Synod 27! Approximately 4,000 United Church of Christ delegates and guests flooded our city June 26 through June 30. A special thank you to our Organist and Director of Music, Jim Metzler, the Chancel Choir and guest musicians for the beautiful music during worship on Sunday, June 28. Many General Synod guests joined us for worship, including the new General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ, Geoffrey Black, filling the church with great energy and a tremendous sense of fellowship in Christ's name! Again, thank you to everyone who helped make this Synod so meaningful and successful --- especially Terrie Loomis, Director of Christian Education, who co-chaired the Local Arrangements Committee! Way to go, Terrie!
